So many people don’t feel like themselves these days, and the pandemic has made it harder to get the help they need. Even before the pandemic, Canada’s mental health system was failing. And failing badly. Every year, 1.6 million Canadians didn’t get the mental health care they needed. The pandemic has only made things worse with isolation, economic insecurity and stress all taking their toll on our mental health. Sometimes we feel pressure to be something that we’re not. To act like we’re ok when really, we’re just not. Life is better when you can be yourself. The Power of Hope Bonspiel is a place where you can be exactly who you are. Our bonspiel is a welcoming, inclusive event that brings together friends, families and community encouraging everyone to move more, stress less and cope better. Curl to get back to yourself while raising funds to get one more person the help they need. As a community member in Thunder Bay, you understand how important mental health is and the need for more resources for our community. We are excited to announce our partnership with the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation to raise funds for mental health services for our community.
